The second annual Asia-Pacific and Europe Law Institutes Alliance (APELIA) Conference will be hosted by the British Institute of International and Comparative Law (BIICL) in London on 12 July 2021.

The conference will be held as a hybrid event both virtually via Zoom and on site at the BIICL campus. Established in 2019, APELIA is a consortium of 18 prestigious law schools across Asia-Pacific and Europe, of which the ESL is a founding member.

The theme of the 2021 APELIA conference will be: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Trade, and the Rule of Law. Topics of interest include: AI Regulation; AI Ethics; Trade; Data Mining; and Machine Learning.

The Conference Committee invites you to submit papers under the above main theme. Selected papers will be published in a post-conference volume. The deadline for submissions is 18 June 2021. Please refer to this link to submit your papers.

You are also cordially invited to attend the conference either online or in person, without submitting a paper.
