This event is jointly organized by the Netherlands Institute of Human Rights (SIM) and the Gender and Diversity Hub, both part of Utrecht University.

Representation of Women and it’s Implications

Prof. Alexandra Timmer, a specialist in non-discrimination law, will moderate and participants will include the Carla Atzema-Looman Chair in Human Rights Education Felisa Tibbitts and Prof. Rosemarie Buikema, Prof of Art, Culture and Diversity. The panel will discuss gender balance and the representation of women in leadership positions in the human rights sector, as well as potential implications for the international human rights movement, including the treatment of women's and girls' rights.  The event will take place virtually and in English.
