The newly announced by the Dutch government restrictions on any events until the 1st of June 2020 have pushed us to take a decision which was likely largely expected: we regret to inform you that the 2020 RELC event has been postponed. We believe that this is the best decision given that the outlook for the near future remains uncertain. Once we have more clarity on the course of events, we will reschedule the conference at a later date and will inform directly all parties involved.

On Friday, 5 June 2020, the 5th edition of the Radboud Economic Law International Conference will take place at the Faculty of Law of Radboud University Nijmegen. This year the event will focus on ‘The Rise of Public Security Interests in Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions’.

This one-day conference features keynote speeches delivered by: Prof. Jukka Snell, University of Turku, Finland, and Prof. Marc Bungenberg, Saarland University, Germany.

In addition, we have issued a call for papers. Interested authors are kindly invited to submit abstracts on topics relevant for this conference, before 18 March 2020. The papers that will be accepted for presentation at this conference will be discussed during the proceedings by Bas de Jong, Professor of Capital Markets Law, Radboud University, and Anne Looijestijn-Clearie, Senior Lecturer in European Law, Radboud University. These contributions will be subsequently published in an edited volume, as part of the ‘Radboud Economic Law Series’ published by Wolf Legal Publishers (projected publication date: 1st quarter of 2021).

Cost: members of the academic community, judges, civil servants: € 75, practitioners (lawyers, legal counsellors): € 225
